Welcome to Dance Workshop By Shari!
A Pittsburgh Dance Studio that believes in


This catch-phrase describes our two-fold mission in providing top-quality dance education, while also giving our staff and students the opportunity to use their talents in a positive way to benefit the community.

The first mission of the Dance Workshop by Shari dance studio is an important one: to provide a positive learning experience for all students. We believe that everyone can learn from their participation in dance, not just dance technique, but other important life lessons, as well.

The second half of our stated mission is to use our talents in a positive way to benefit the community. We have done this throughout the years by participating in fund-raising events, such as church festivals, the KDKA Free Care Fund Telethon, Senior Citizen Homes, and community day festivities. Annually, we produce two benefit shows, “Have A Heart ” and “Gifts Of Dance and Other Offerings” for various children’s charities. Our National Dance Week Celebration every year raises money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. We instill in our students the value of using their skills and talents to benefit others.

In 2008, we officially established “Dancing for A Difference™” as a non-profit organization. This has allowed us to expand our efforts in offering opportunities to our students to use their talents and gifts to make a difference in others’ lives. We are happy to be sponsoring the first Annual “Unity in Community 5K Run/1 Mile Walk” this fall with all profits going to non-profit children’s programs in our local communities.
